[ Something bad was happening. He'd thought maybe it was a dream, but it had stuck with him too long. The emotions were too alien, too unlike him for it to be real. But it was stuck in his head, as if he'd experienced it himself. The voice in the memory, it was...familiar It took him hours to place it, then he recalled the events at the swear-in. The one other time he'd felt an emotion so very alien. Which then had him digging through the network until he found the same name from the memory.

He sounded...urgent. Angry. ]

Ah, Mr. Grandpa!

[ That gruff voice is pretty hard to forget... as was the whole, uhh, intimidating picture he'd put forth. The angry tone in his voice made him freeze, but, it was probably better to just answer. He hadn't done anything wrong (he thought?) so maybe he just always sounded angry. So instead, he tries to keep his tone polite and cordial: ]

Um... may I help you...?

[ No, this time he sounded even angrier than he had in the woods. That was concern. This is fury. And it gets worse the moment Hajime confirms who he is. ]

WHAT YOU DID TO ME, YOU'RE GOING TO FIX IT! NOW!

[ He's not fond of memory alterations, apparently. ]

Ehh?! I-I didn't do anything! Wh-what are you talking about?!

[ He's not even in the room somehow and he feels terrified??? Hajime prides himself on not being so easily scared, but this kind of situation is making him wish to not leave his government housing. ]

[ Remembering being so small, weak, and emotional makes him too damn uncomfortable. ]

[ There's a long, long pause, and Hajime is absolutely certain that his heart just stopped, hearing that. Was that... was he talking about the S2...? His first S2, that disaster he still has nightmares about? They beat Akatsuki at Tanabata and that should've been enough, but there was no way to erase what he'd experienced. When he speaks, his voice is tiny and sad. ]

I'm... sorry... th-that power isn't mine... I can't transfer memories. My songs can only make people feel emotions, or heal, o-or make them stronger... I-I wouldn't want anyone to see that!

[ Like any other memory, it didn't play out completely, it's more like a picture coming into focus. The more he tries to recall it, the more details come to light. He's still sifting through, but it doesn't feel new. It feels like it's been there the whole time. And it makes him even angrier. ]

Am I really busier...? I didn't think so... um, but I'm free tomorrow! It's a short recording day, so I'll be out really quick.
